AS G321: Preliminary Task- Filming Process.

On Friday the the 14th of October 2016, Nav and I began our preliminary task: Preliminary Inceptions' filming.
With the help of our story board, shot scene, and script we were able to effectively film, and begin the process to creating our short film.

We began by filming our establishing shot of the NGS Sixth Form Common room with our two characters, we used a high-key lighting in this beginning shot as we wanted to portray an innocent feel to the location, and the characters.

Our next seen was a two shot that was also filmed at an eye-level angle. nav and I continued using the original high-key lighting as it would emphasise the innocent personalities the characters are developing and it would include the match-on-action.

We then have a pan to the character, "Mrs.Danielle", we use a slight low-angle shot to emphasise her role of authority.

After a cut back to the two shot, that is shown previously, we will have a transition to a over the shoulder, and two shot of both characters looking at a computer, we used a shallow depth of field to create this.

During this scene we will have a cut to and back to a extreme close up of Lexi pushing in on the volume button. In this scene we will use a mixture of diegetic and non-diegetic sound. By this we  will make the volume sound be the only sound heard.

There will then be a transition to a two shot, low-angle shot from behind the computer. We will be using a diegetic sound of the video from the last scene to this one to create match-on-action.

We then cut to our shot/reverse shot of the two characters having a conversation.

We use a 180• rule to record this conversation.

We also have another extreme close up to Lexis watch, we do this, and have an emphasis of the sounds of the ticking sound to bring attention to the danger coming, we also used the use of low-key lighting to signal danger too.

We cut to a two shot close up of both of the characters, no sound will be used during this scene, this will emphasise the feeling of fear of the characters conveyed to the audience.

Cut to a extreme close up of Lexi sweating, we used low-key lighting to emphasise the danger and the fear the character has.

We cut to a scene where the two characters both stand up out of fear, we use a two shot and a medium long shot (MLS) to show the action throughout this scene.

Close up to a glass of water, filled with ripples to insinuate a stomping coming from out of frame, we did this from a high-angle to give the audience a POV shot to show them that one of the characters is noticing this.

Cut to a scene of "The Black Figure" walking down the hall, low-key lighting,we also use a slight low-angle shot we did these two techniques to show the audience that this character is dangerous.

We have a close up of the body but not the face as they are a mysterious character.

We then use a series of shots showing the audience this character walking through a door.
